Swimming during menstruation is not recommended

During menstruation, the shedding of the endometrium and the discharge of menstrual blood lead to a slight opening of the cervix and vaginal opening.

Additionally, due to blood loss, the body's immunity is compromised. Swimming pools may contain contaminants or harmful substances, and if one swims during menstruation, these substances can potentially enter the uterine cavity through the vaginal opening and cervix.

This can result in inflammation, abdominal discomfort, increased secretions, and other related symptoms. Furthermore, swimming requires physical exertion, which may exacerbate menstrual cramps or lower immunity.

It is advisable to prioritize rest during menstruation and avoid exposing oneself to cold temperatures.
